Designed and manufactured in-house. This is a thoroughly original MCU product.
Why are we so proud of these? It is a well thought out concept and we explain that below.
The main feature of these handlebars is they are made of bright steel. The reason for this is simple, as an experienced bike rebuild or builder you know that many times you have had to drill and saw into handlebars that are already coated or chrome-plated. The result is rust and damaged paint or scratches and burrs.
The holes in a handlebar are almost never in the correct place. Now you can test fit everything, drill holes, cut handlebars to size, fit levers and switches. Only once everything is as you want it can you tape off where you don't want paint.
You can have the handlebars powder-coated, chrome-plated or paint them yourself. Take into account 2mm coating when drilling the holes.
Side note is also, you can weld a nut in the end of the handlebars if you want bar end weights, mirrors or indicators.
You can also tap threads into the handlebars themselves or weld other modifications to them. With an Ape Hanger, the advice is also always to adjust your handlebar clamps so that the handlebars cannot rotate,
for example, a hole in the handlebars through which a bolt goes, which in turn goes into a hole in the handlebar clamp so that the handlebars can no longer twist.
