As a former professional builder, I know that hours are often taken into account. That's why I built this scrambler as a private project. This engine was built for nine months, without regard to time and costs. That is why this scrambler has a very high level of finish. Every single part and bolt has received its attention.
The basis is a Honda NX650 / Dominator with low mileage. Known for: reliable, torque and agile. The motorcycle is also suitable for an A2 driving license. But don't underestimate the fat 650cc single cylinder: it has enough punch to surprise!
Subframe professionally modified with mounts for electronic components. Seat and subframe fit together seamlessly in the same horizontal line.
New CG125 tank with reserve position and lockable cap.
New seat upholstered by Miller Upholstery with cognac leather tuck'n roll.
New KTM / Renthal fatbar and Zeta handlebar clamps and Biltwell grips
Custom titanium front pipes (by Star Twin Motors in Loenen).
New Bates style halogen headlight and rear light (E-mark).
New fenders and custom license plate holder.
New Bullit cutters and LED license plate lighting.
New copper-colored Prox X chain and sprockets.
New EBC brake pads.
New illuminated speedometer with trip meter and LEDs for neutral, high beam, flashing.
New K&N air filter, K&N crankcase valve
New stainless steel GP damper with removable db-killer.
New Lithium-Ion battery from Aliant
Supplied with Optimate Li-Ion charger (concealed connection under seat)
New clutch cable, speedometer cable, NGK spark plug and Honda oil filter.
WP behind shocker
Continental TKC 80 tires, with heavy duty inner tubes
(Tires have an off-road look, but are suitable for street use. Also OEM supplied under eg KTM, so safe and grip!).
Also technically tackled such as new front fork bearings, wheel bearings and many new rubber parts such as inlet sealing rubber, float bowl gasket etc. Engine block has received a complete overhaul. All service parts are original Honda. As many (imbus) bolts and nuts as possible are galvanized and self-locking.
All oils have of course been replaced recently: engine, front fork and brake fluid. Carb has been refurbished.
Present: 2 sets of keys (ignition / steering lock and fuel cap).
All parts are provided with the best primer: 2K epoxy. And finished with 2K High Solid clear finish. So scratch resistant, resistant to chemicals.
The result is a cool Scrambler inspired by the 60's. Reliable, solidly built and legally sound. Oh yes, in real life more beautiful than in the pictures!
Since this is my private motorcycle, several thousand kms have been driven with it since it was built. So the bike has had a successful shakedown. Hassle-free 'one of a kind' motor!
