My story custom bike BMW R100R
I've always been passionate about motorbikes, I've been riding since I was 6 years old. I traveled around Europe on a motorcycle and with my R80G/S in the early 1980s, I went to the North Cape. My passion has always been the BMW 2-valve boxer, a great engine that gives fantastic sensations. In March 2020 the COVID restrictions began and I decided to make a custom BMW with some time available. I found a 1992 100R with 60,000 km and bought it.
WORK BEGINS
I disassembled the whole bike, cleaned the frame from unnecessary details, and powder coated and reconditioned the engine by changing all the gaskets.
I redid the entire electrical system and changed the controls, lights, indicators, and speedometer.
Here I shortened the front fork, removed the airbox, and added a new rear subframe.
Here I have given the tank a new color. The tank now has an iconic orange color. I have also added a new seat to the cafe racer.
I made the exhaust pipe by hand
BMW R100R is finished
Finally, after 6 months of work, the bike was completed. It was a great satisfaction and the final result was very exciting. It is likely that a new adventure will begin ...
