How to install a Universal tail light

How to instal your universal tail light.

What do you need? 

1: Multimeter

2: Universal headlight

3: Soldering tool or tin soldering tubes or connectors

4: Some wires at the back of your bike

5: Electrical tape

Get your battery, check the power with your multimeter. You should have 12V at least or more. 

First what you want to do is check what wire is what on your universal light. Do not expect a schedule or wire diagram because this can be different for every light and colors are not always the same. 

When you get the green or black wire put it to the ground or minus off the battery. Then start to put one by one all the other wires on the plus or positive side of the battery. Then one by one you can check what color is, what function. 

Normal / small light is the running light that should be always on the power when bike lights are turned on. When there is one brighter this is the brake light. 

When you know all the combinations, what is the ground, what is the normal light and what is the brake light you can continue. 

Go to the bike tail section. Get your multimeter, check out which wire is mass or ground. 

When you know this put your multimeter on it by using the black pin of the multimeter. Turn on the bike lights on your handlebar switch. Check what wire always has power, this is the normal driving tail light. Check what wire is giving power when holding the brake. This will be the stop or brake light. 

Now you identified all the wires and you can start connecting them with your connectors or soldering tubes. 

Afterwords put some tape on the connections and you are golden!
