Different Types of Handlebars

The type of handlebars can be very personal. Some find comfort important, while others really value looks. We have taken this into account when putting together our range of products. We are here for every motorcyclist.

Popular Handlebar models

There are a number of handlebar models that we would like to highlight. This will hopefully give you a better idea of which handlebars are available.

Drag bar handlebars

You might have guessed it, but lower models are generally a lot less comfortable, even though they look awesome! So if you don't ride for too long or if you just don't care about how you sit, a drag bar might be just the thing for you!

A drag bar consists of one part and is almost completely straight. They have a slight curve so you lean a bit forward.

M handlebars or Clubman

Clubman or M handlebars have a very specific style. They curve elegantly around the counters of your bike and are therefore very beautiful to look at. We have these handlebars with and without pullback. Pullback is a curvature of the handles. So if you want a completely straight model (flat on the table) make sure you get one without pullback.

Motocross

The “motocross” model is incredibly tough. It consists of a whole that has a bend in the middle between which a straight “cross-brace” is welded. This also looks very cool on a scrambler, for example.

Tracker handlebars

Flat trackers are real racing monsters. They look very cool and of course need a matching tracker handlebar. We have different handlebars that will give your flat tracker that unique look. They are ultra cool and clean in design.

Clip ons

These are handlebars like no other.  Clip ons are not made up of one piece of steel. The word says it all; they have clips. These handlebars attach to the front fork, allowing you to decide how to position it.

Colors

To give your bike even more character, you can also go for a cool color. Of course we have handlebars in black and chrome, but have you also thought about blue, gold or white? You are in complete control of your motorcycle's style!

Motorcycle handlebar brands

In our assortment you will find only parts of the best quality and the best brands. We think it's important that your purchase is solid and lasts longer. Therefore, we have made a selection of beautiful, reliable brands.

Renthal handlebars

With a Renthal  handlebar you are assured of good workmanship, high quality material and a good fit. Renthal has been a leader for years when it comes to motorcycle parts and accessories.

LSL handlebars

LSL handlebars are also of high quality. The German brand LSL stands for reliability, quality materials and clean design.

Pro Taper handlebars

Pro Taper's goal is to transform and improve the riding experience. Their products are therefore made of lightweight and durable materials and are often used by racing professionals.

MCU

We also have handlebars from the Motorcycles United brand. This is our own brand, which of course we are extremely proud of! MCU handlebars are made of aluminum and are therefore very light. They come in different curvatures to fit any custom style.

Dimensions of our handlebars

When buying a handlebar, you will also need to consider the thickness you need. After all, many parts need to fit on them, such as a throttle body. We have three different sizes:

  • motorcycle handlebars 22 mm / ⅞ inch
  • motor handlebars 25.4 mm / 1 inch
  • motorcycle handlebars 28.3 mm / 1.25 inch

FAQs

1.        How do I set up my ideal riding position?

How you set up your ideal riding position depends entirely on you as a rider. Some prefer high bars, some low and the same goes for foot rests. Most people suggest raising the handlebars. If you keep a proper form with your wrists straight, elbows bent, core engaged, squeeze the tank with your knees and stay light and easy on the bars you should be good to go!

2.        How do I measure my handlebar?
  • The first step is to measure from the bottom of the bar to the highest point on the handlebar. This is your rise
  • Next, measure from the tip of the handlebar end to the opposite tip of the handlebar end. This is your bar width.
  • For the pullback, measure from the tip of your grip to the front of the handlebar.
  • Next is the center width, which is the inside bar edge to the inside bar edge.
  • Finally, you have the riser width, which is the center of your clamping area on the right to the center of the clamping area on the left.
3.        What tools do I need to replace the handlebar?

Before doing any modifications on your bike, it is important to have the repair manual in case anything goes wrong. The tools you would need can be found in any starter toolbox. These include (but are not limited to) sockets, spanners and something to measure.
