Marek and the Custom BMW K1100RS Motorcycle

I am Marek Kruszynski and this is my custom build “The Roach”.

Since childhood I have enjoyed getting my hands dirty and fixing mopeds on my own. Later I jumped into working on bimmer cars and after a 23 year break I got back into the motorcycle game.

I started the journey of constructing The Roach on June 2nd 2019 and finished the project on June 11th 2020 so it took me almost exactly one year! Although, most of the work was done on the weekends and even every other weekend. 

Subframe and Modifications to the Custom BMW K1100RS Motorcycle

The base of my build is a 1993 BMW K1100RS. 

I modified the frame to fit horizontal suspension with nitron shock and aluminum seat support. I used black cerakote armor as a finish on all aluminum parts including triple tree clamp foot pegs, brake calipers, and engine covers.

Some additional modifications made to the Custom BMW K1100RS Motorcycle include:

• Triple tree clamp designed to fit Motogadget motoscope pro and gear indicator.
• Whole bike rewired with Motogadget m.unit blue
• Motogadget m.button
• Motogadget motoscope pro
• Motogadget breakout box B
• Motogadget m.blaze disc blinkers installed in ABM clip ons. 
• Motogadget m.view flight glasses mirrors

• Quick throttle 
• Rebelmoto switches
• Brembo 19mm RCS Corsa Corta radial brake master cylinder, (clutch conversion to hydraulic)  
• Brembo 19mm RCA radial clutch master cylinder 
• 11NBL slave clutch cylinder 
• Pro brake, custom made brake, and clutch hoses

• Footpegs
• Wrapped headers
• Short car muffler adopted for great sound
• KOSO thunderbolt headlight
• Custom LED tail light 
• Battery hidden under the seat in billet aluminum battery holder.

Choosing a Theme for the Custom BMW K1100RS Motorcycle

Since I like dark colors I decided to go with black matte paint for the tank and fender. 

I was searching for unique emblems to add to the bike when one day a crazy idea came to my head… Why not use the wolf logo from “The Witcher”! As I am originally from Poland and I grew up on Andrzej Sapkowsk’s fantasy series “The Witcher'', I thought the wolf would match nicely with the dark character of my “workhorse”.
