We are pleased to tell you not all hope is lost. The tires are not actually blue, but just covered in a protective film to keep your white wall tires in pristine condition on their trip to your door. Let's get into it! 

What is the Blue Film on White Wall Tires?

The blue film you initially see on the tires is a water soluble coating that is applied to protect the tires while in transport. Removal of the film is efficient, convenient, and only requires a few materials. 

How do I Remove the Blue Film from White Wall Tires?

Now to the important part… how do you get this stuff off! Follow this brief “How To” to reveal your white wall tires!

How do I Remove the Blue Film from White Wall Tires - Materials 

1. Dish soap
2. Soft scrub brush *do not use a very coarse or brittle brush to avoid scuffing the tires
3. Paper towel 
4. Water
5. Bucket

Muc Off 3 Piece Brush Set

Step 1

Fill the bucket with warm water and add a few pumps of dish soap to the water

Step 2

Wet your brush in the water and apply some dish soap directly to the brush

Step 3

Begin with one section of the tire and scrub the blue area with the brush until you begin to see white

Step 4 

Repeat step 3 until the section is mostly rid of any blue residue

Step 5 

Wipe away any excess blue residue from the white wall tire with a paper towel

Step 6 

Repeat steps 2-5 on all sections of the tire until all the blue is gone and your white wall tires are white!
